My Scene Barbie

Barbie, Chelsea, Madison and Nolee....and their boyfriends & a few other friends....they are my new collection.

I am really amazed by the details of their clothes, bags and playsets, and most of all, their fashion sense! I have a small collection to begin with, having some of the first and third wave dolls, the "Cruisin' in my scene" convertable set and a "Getting ready" set. What's more, they have pets and boyfriends too...nice...

It all began with Sindy......

I am a very new vintage doll-collector from Singapore.

Sindy was introduced to my sister and I when my grandma's church friend passed down her daughter's old, late-70s Sindy doll to us. She came with her Predigee wardrobe and a load of beautiful vintage clothes and items. As the younger sister, I wasn't really entitled to the doll, but it didn't matter much to me then...Looking back, it was strange that I(who was shy, an introvert) was not the typical girl who like dolls at that time.

Sindy really came alive to me recently after I became someone's wife. I was moving to my new apartment and was packing up my old stuff, wanted to post some items on ebay to raise some funds! I chance upon the lonely, sad face Sindy and the rest was history.


• My Collection
Now I have a tiny collection of Sindy dolls that I hope to grow, 2 Fleur dolls(Dutch Sindy clone), and if I can afford, I'll like to start on Tammy too...I like to go for vintage - those before 1987, and original clothes that appears in catalogues/books...I welcome your emails if you have any source/information.

I mostly bid off from ebay UK, but it cost a big deal to ship things from any part of the world to Singapore! If you are a collector and have some dolls to donate, please contact me, I am open to trade. Thanks for looking and do hang around!
